    The mechanism is intended to incentivize ComEd to reduce residential customer disconnections in areas with the highest rates of disconnections.
  • Metric
    Annual reductions as a percentage (%) in residential customer disconnections in the 20 zip codes with the highest rates of disconnection based on 2017-2019 data.
  • Target
    ComEd can earn an award for achieving at least 6.7% and up to 10% annual reductions in residential customer disconnections. A deadband applies for reductions between 3.3 to 6.7% (where the company will neither earn an award nor incur a penalty). The company will incur a penalty for less than or equal to 3.3% annual reductions.

    ComEd can receive a total reward or penalty of +/- 5 ROE basis points over the four-year performance period. The amount of reward/penalty earned will be determined by multiplying the percentage of the maximum target achieved by the maximum incentive amount (e.g., straight-line interpolation from deadband performance to the maximum incentive).
